Happy New Year, and thank you for all your support.
Aimee's Army web-site will be getting a complete over haul soon. Please watch for many changes.
The Team Unite 2010 Calendar's are ready. Aimee's photo is in the month of September. Each month gives information about all types of childhood cancer and features so many wonderful children that have walked the dreaded path of dealing with one form of childhood cancer or another. Please, before you buy a calendar with the cute puppies on it, look at these and remember by buying one you are supporting finding a cure to stop cancer from effecting other children. Thank you and God Bless you all.

Article about Aimee's walk for childhood cancer. Thank you so much to all of our supporters and a very big thank you to the families that traveled far and wide to be here for support and working together to find a cure for all the children past present and future. God Bless you all.
Aimee was a very active normal 11 years old when we were told that she had a diffused intrinsic pontine glioma, which is an inoperable brainstem glioma. All of her symtums for 6 months were that of any other childhood illness. Headache (possibly needed glasses) dizziness (we were told was from the heat) shortness of breathe (asthma) Hiccups (acid refluxs) We were also told that the headaches and dizziness were caused by ear infections, sinus infections. Although, no test were done for any of the above, she was on many antibiotic's, inhalers, acid refluex meds. It wasn't until she started to act drunk and began to vomit that the doctors took notice. That is when a CAT scan was done then and MRI showing the tumor in the pons (middle section of the brain stem).
It is Aimee's dream to help raise awareness, and funding for DIPG and all childhood cancer so no parent will ever have to hear your child has cancer and there is NOTHING we can do. There is no known cause or cure for DIPG. Children are giving 6 months to a year to live. Aimee came up with a design and slogan that says it all.
"A ribbon is just a ribbon without a face, add pigtails, and a baseball cap and it becomes a child." (aimee dickey forever 12)
